The Air Jordan 1 is undoubtedly the Mount Rushmore of sneakers. Ever since its 1985 debut, the iconic silhouette has maintained its place in popular culture.
One of my favorite pairs of Air Jordan 1s is the Dior x Air Jordan 1 High – I love how the shoe pays homage to the excellence of both brands. Each pair was crafted in Italy and is adorned with hand-painted edges and an Oblique print swoosh.
How does the Air Jordan 1 fit?
The Air Jordan 1 has always fit true to size. I can confidently say that the fit of this sneaker has been the same ever since the eighties as I own a pair of 'Chicago' Air Jordan 1's from 1985 that fit the exact same way as an Air Jordan 1 Retro OG High fits today.
If sizing options are limited on the colorway you're looking to cop, I'd recommend sizing up rather than sizing down.
How do you style your Air Jordan 1s?
The Air Jordan 1 fits into my everyday style as it's a shoe you can dress up and down. It is the staple shoe of my wardrobe, and I love that the character of the shoe develops the more you wear it.
Today, I paired my Dior x Air Jordan 1 kicks with a minimalistic Homme Plissé Issey Miyake look. To be specific, I'm wearing a white t-shirt, an ochre bag, orange pleated shorts and ivory socks.
How comfortable is the Air Jordan 1?
The Air Jordan 1 is a shoe that's comfortable enough to wear for an entire day as it's created with padded ankle support and a soft tongue. Sure, it's not the most comfortable shoe on the market, but it's great for people, like me, with wide feet as it's a very accommodating shoe.
How do you care for your Air Jordan 1s?
I don't clean my Air Jordan 1s very often because I love the look of a worn Jordan 1, however, I do use shoe trees to maintain the shape of the sneaker.
In terms of storing my shoes, they go back into the original box they came in after every wear. My top tip would be to remove the wrapping paper inside of the box as I've seen that it can cause damage to the shoe over time.

The Air Jordan 1 is the sneaker that started it all for me: it's the sneaker that inspired me to become a sneaker collector. During the 2020 pandemic, my husband persuaded me to watch Netflix's The Last Dance with him. The documentary runs through the story of the Air Jordan 1, and ever since I watched it I feel more attached to the sneaker silhouette than ever before – I feel as though it encourages me to pursue my dreams.
How does the Air Jordan 1 fit?
As you know, Air Jordan 1s are high in demand; thus, I was unable to cop my true size (a 6.5). I highly recommend you stick to your true size, but a size above can still feel comfortable.
How do you style Air Jordan 1s?
Honestly, I wear my Air Jordan 1s with everything, from dresses to shorts to skirts to trousers. I think the versatility of the shoe is one of the reasons it's so popular!
Today, I'm wearing the highly coveted Air Jordan 1 High Travis Scott x Fragment sneaker. When I first copped this shoe, I was worried that the punchy color of the shoe would make it hard to style; but, to my surprise, it's actually a super wearable colorway that becomes the statement piece of your look.
As you can see, I've paired the shoe with a neutral oversized fit. It's menswear with a feminine touch. The inspiration behind the fit is Korean street style – over in Korea, women often wear their boyfriend's clothes, and here I'm wearing my husband's old prom blazer.
How comfortable is the Air Jordan 1?
Although Air Jordan 1s aren't the most comfortable sneakers in the world, I'd much rather wear them than a pair of heels or smart leather shoes. To be quite honest, they fit rather like a high top Chuck Taylor Converse sneaker. I guess you could call it a 'vintage fit'.
How do you care for your Air Jordan 1s?
Aside from wiping the sole with a wipe after each wear, I'm not too concerned about the wear and tear of my Air Jordan 1 sneakers – I rock them because I enjoy them! Having said that, I do put a crease guard inside of them to ensure the shoe's shape remains intact.

Air Jordan 1s are my favorite sneakers – they're easily the most versatile and wearable sneakers I own. I was lucky enough to cop my first pair of OG Jordan 1s back in 2013. I picked up the classic Bred colorway – a pair I style wear to this day.
How does the Air Jordan 1 fit?
The older Air Jordan 1s have a snugger fit when compared to recent releases that fit true to size. You can even get away with going a half size up with the 1s if you have wide feet; albeit, I would recommend sticking to your true size to avoid creasing the toe box.
How comfortable is the Air Jordan 1?
Air Jordan 1s may not look cosy, but they are surprisingly comfortable. In fact, I'd go so far as to say they're one of the most comfortable sneaker silhouettes I own.
How do you style Air Jordan 1s?
My short and sweet answer is that the Air Jordan 1 is a classic silhouette that's super easy to style. In my opinion, they're perfect for completing any outfit!

The Air Jordan 1 has always been and always will be one of my favorite sneaker silhouettes. It's a sneaker of simplicity and precision. My favorite thing about the OG Air Jordan model is that each pair is adorned with intricate details – each pair is simple yet unique.
How does the Air Jordan 1 fit?
The best way to approach sizing for the Air Jordan 1 is to opt for your regular size. AJ1s are one of the few sneakers that are consistent in their fit; the sizing remains the same with each new drop. I love the fact the sizing remains the same as it means I can avoid any unpleasant surprises when ordering a new pair.
How comfortable is the Air Jordan 1?
Although I've got wide feet, the Air Jordan 1s never fail to feel comfortable. As soon as you've taken them out of the box, they're ready to be worn.
The upper of the Air Jordan 1 is usually made of durable leather and features perforations that allow the shoe to breathe. Plus, there's a cushioning pad placed under the heel inside of the shoe that adds some shock resistance to the model.
How do you lace your Air Jordan 1s?
The way I decide to lace my Air Jordan 1s depends on my outfit of the day. Sometimes, the knot sits flat and the bow lays across the upper of the shoe; sometimes, I leave the laces loose.

The Air Jordan 1 is an iconic shoe – the super simple design of the shoe is classic and aesthetically pleasing from every angle. I love everything about the sneaker, but I especially appreciate the range of colorways available. There really is an Air Jordan 1 to suit everyone's taste.
How does the Air Jordan 1 fit?
The Air Jordan 1 fits true to size – I'm so grateful that I don't have to worry about sizing up or down when purchasing a pair. The shoe fits around my foot perfectly, and I hardly ever have to loosen my laces when getting my feet into them.
How comfortable is the Air Jordan 1?
The Jordan 1 is perfect for everyday wear as it's a very comfortable shoe that offers great ankle support. I can imagine they're ideal for wearing on the basketball court!
How do you lace your Air Jordan 1s?
I used to always lace my Air Jordan 1s all the way to the top, but recently I've started avoiding using the last hole and lacing them to the second-to-top hole as I think it looks fresher. Whatever I decide to do with my laces, I will always make sure to tie them – I don't understand how people walk around with their laces loose.

I love the Air Jordan 1 silhouette because it's a timeless, classic shoe that's still iconic over three decades after its release. My first pair of Air Jordan 1s was a pair of the OG 'Chicago's that I copped when I was just a kid. Back then, I didn't know how special the shoes would turn out to be. Even though they would no longer fit me, I wish I still had that pair.
How does the Air Jordan 1 fit?
The Air Jordan 1s fit true to size; however, do note that the sneaker can initially feel a little snug as the upper is made of leather. As far as I know, the fit of the Air Jordan 1 has always been the same (and I have worn them since I was a kid). Of course, some may those that are not made of leather are likely to be a little roomier. For example, I purchased the Flyknit Air Jordan 1s and they feel looser than the classic leather shoe.
